Good Ransom results out of my older Colt NM 1911 (with a lightened slide), 12.5# WC spring, full-length guide rod, Schumann 1:16 barrel. *Very* clean burning. I don't load 115gr 9mm but according to Hodgdon, you'll easily make your 1100 fps. The max powder charge (5.7gr max) is large enough that you shouldn't be able to double charge it; I don't think you can get 11.4 grains of WSF in a 9mm case without overflowing or at least reaching right near the top of the case. Commercial ammo loaders are going to load only 147's at major to cover their ass in terms of spec pressures and 9x19. It may make major but on no way should that be construed to mean it is the optimum solution for the open major shooter. It is optimum for the loader's business. Turns out, my Lee manual has lots of AutoComp loads that look good on paper. I loaded some .38 Special with it, and have to say the powder meters well. I haven't shot the rounds yet, but probably will in the next few days, and will post on the thread if I notice anything positive, negative or weird about accuracy or cleanup.
